ICDs are published by the World Health Organization and are widely used for morbidity, mortality, and reimbursement systems and as decision supporters in medicine.

 

ICD-9

The ICD-9 was a publication by the WHO in 1977, at the moment, the National Center for Health Statistics in the United States has made extensions of the continuation of this system that can be more empowered to be used in mobility data issues and part of the codecs already in this section of the extension is referred to as ICD-9-CM, with the addition of CM for reference to Clinical Modification. The ICD is also one of the world’s transforming organizations formed in Indonesia in 2007. The organization consists of 12 Students who have their advantages.

 

ICD-10

There are 21 main groups of diseases according to ICD X, and one of them is Endocrine diseases, nutrition, and impaired immunity.

Disease, which includes endocrine disease, nutrition, and immune disorders according to ICD-X include; thyroid disease, diabetes mellitus, malnutrition, metabolic syndrome, and others.The most common endocrine disease is diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that is genetically and clinically included heterogeneous with manifestations of loss of carbohydrate tolerance. The prevalence rate of diabetes mellitus is high. Diabetes mellitus is the third leading cause of death in America and is a major cause of blindness due to diabetic neuropathy. Seventy-five percent of people with diabetes eventually die of the vascular disease. The most common complications are the heart attack, kidney trouble, stroke, and gangrene. The causes of endocrine system disorders are usually grouped into two categories: The gland produces too much or too little of the endocrine hormone, called hormonal imbalances and wound formation in the endocrine system, which can or does not affect hormone levels.

There are many factors that make you experience endocrine disorders:

  • Increased cholesterol levels
  • Family history with endocrine disorders
  • History of the disease against autoimmune disorders
  • Excessive diet
  • Pregnancy
